An on-going Bible study to find every woman and every reference to women in the Bible. The project began in response to the Millenium Development Goals to provide a corrective to negative views of women stemming from past and present Biblical interpretations. God created women as a beloved part of human beings who were created in the image and likeness of God. Women were active participants in the development of the people of God and were spoken to by God directly. Women were prophets, judges, a builder of a city, wives, mothers, single, married, concubines, queens, prostitutes … you get the idea.
We are presently studying the prophet Isaiah and were pleased to discover “the prophetess” in the early chapters.
